Program Description

IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is characterized by the deposition of immunoglobulin A (IgA) antibodies in the kidneys. This build up triggers inflammation and damage, which can manifest as progressive kidney damage requiring dialysis or kidney transplantation. Therefore, efforts that support early diagnosis and intervention to preserve kidney function have garnered attention, and research has uncovered therapies with novel mechanisms of action. This webinar will focus on the 2025 KDIGO guideline updates and clinical evidence for approved and emerging therapies for IgAN, as well as the challenges associated with current therapies and the goals of treatment. Managed care professionals will discuss considerations within the evolving treatment paradigm, including cost analyses, strategies to ensure access to novel therapies, and insights on formulary management and treatment pathways.
