Program Description
As chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) moves to targeted, chemotherapy-free care, community oncology pharmacists in medically integrated practices are now central to therapy selection, safe initiation, and long-term management. This program provides practical guidance on using fixed-duration venetoclax regimens, covalent and non-covalent BTK inhibitors, and CAR T-cell referral pathways while managing real-world challenges such as tumor lysis syndrome, cardiovascular risk, and drug interactions. The session also addresses the 2026 Medicare Part D and IRA changes, including maximum fair prices and the Medicare Transaction Facilitator, to help oncology pharmacies maintain access, manage reimbursement, and avoid negative margins in CLL care.Target audience: Oncology pharmacists
