Hereditary angioedema (HAE) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by recurrent attacks of severe angioedema in various parts of the body. It can be triggered by stress, physical trauma, or other illnesses, with symptoms that progress over time, leading to significant morbidity and mortality if left untreated. Diagnostic challenges often lead to misdiagnosis, delayed diagnosis, and ineffective treatment.
