Program Description
This session will establish the critical need for improved diabetes management, emphasizing the long-term and acute complications associated with suboptimal glycemic control and the impact on the quality of life of individuals living with diabetes. The benefits of currently available continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices and their practical applications in diabetes management will be discussed, as will features that differentiate them. Additionally, the crucial aspect of cost and coverage will be explored, providing participants with an update on state-specific variations in coverage policies for CGM devices to improve access.
